About Scout Hill Co.

hello! My name is Abby and I'm the owner and founder of Scout Hill Co. I opened my online shop in 2016 from my basement studio in St. Paul, MN as a means to make some extra income while I worked full time as an elementary art teacher. ​ Some fun facts about me: I grew up in a small town called Glencoe, MN. My childhood home from birth to age 10 was on a street called Scout Hill Drive. I am fortunate to have many fond memories from that time in my life and decided to name my business after it. I turned 29 on December 19th (sagittarius, woohoo!) I lived in China for 1 year as an English teacher, where I discovered a deep love for hot pot and learning new languages. I can speak Mandarin, but poorly. ha :) I am a musician and play guitar, banjo, and sing. I have a band called Hazel Howl with my smokin' hot husband Chris (he plays bass!) We don't have kids, pets, or a home and love that for us ;) Other than drawing, I enjoy traveling, dancing, camping, eating Thai food, tacos or spicy ramen, and being outside in any form whether it's hiking, canoeing, or reading a book in a park! ​ Thanks for stopping by my corner of the internet.
