Katsushi Hokusai
Hokusai, a Japanese painter & printmaker, made waves (literally) for his Ukiyo-e art style which served as inspiration to Monet, Van Gogh & many others in the Impressionist era. His most famous piece, "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is one of the most reproduced artworks of all time.
Hilma af Klint
A Swedish artist who is now widely known as the first abstract artists of her time, ahead of Kandinsky & Mondrian who were the prominent faces of the movement. Klint's works were striking & heavily inspired by her own view of spiritualism and science.

Théophile Steinlen
Théophile Alexandre Steinlen, was a Swiss-born French Art Nouveau painter and printmaker. He was politically engaged and collaborated with anarchist and socialist press. In his early twenties he moved to an artistic community in the Montmartre Quarter of Paris, and once there was introduced to the artistic crowd at Le Chat Noir that led to his commissions to do poster art for the cabaret owner/entertainer, Aristide Bruant.
Walter Crane
Walter Crane was an English artist and book illustrator, and is considered to be the most influential, and among the most prolific, children's book creators of his generation as well as one of the strongest contributors to the child's nursery motif. He was part of the Arts and Crafts movement and produced an array of paintings, illustrations, children's books, ceramic tiles, wallpapers and other decorative arts.
