Art has always been more of a private relationship. When I reflect about my day, I burn the edges of those thoughts onto wood, manifesting boundaries I try to set in my life. My work is balancing a beautiful scene of ordered chaos, which I attempt to communicate through my art. I don't question boldness and intensity when I'm drawing. I'm unapologetically myself the whole time. And at the end, the process is comforting because I've captured a snapshot of a perceived experience where the possibilities for interpretation are endless.
