Nature, Art, and Music are my loves. Born and raised in the Northeast, I was struck down with a diagnosis of ALS in my twenties. Slowly I lost the movement in my arms and legs, but kept on painting everyday. Pushing one arm with the other until one day I lost that ability. At that point even a very small painting would take three weeks or more to complete. I'm left with a fraction of movement, a twitch in one thumb. Searching, I found a micro switch and rigged it to my thumb, and with a software to allow me simple mouse control of the computer which allows me to continue my artwork. Using digital painting, and often in combination with my drawings and watercolors, ect. I get a unique look. Always trying to keep it simple as far as technology. With only a small garden to inspire me, I keep going. Art gives me Peace in my struggle to remain in the light.
