Athlos, also known as Ilan, is a digital artist in Toronto, Canada. Ilan is a former para ice hockey athlete. He is driven by the need to constantly excel and express himself in diverse ways. As an athlete and an admirer of sports, he saw the beauty in them that sometimes shone through in the midst of a play. He saw it in the explosion of kinetic energies that resulted as one football player tackled another. He saw it in the outward display of power and emotion when a hockey player scored a goal. He wanted to capture this ephemeral beauty through digital media and share it with others who also loved sports.
