kathleenmotoa

Born in 1992, in Coral Springs, Florida, Kathleen Motoa currently works with preschool-aged students to teach them the primary and fundamental principles of art-making. She has been an art teacher at a private institution for the past three years. In her conceptual photography, Motoa explores a common theme of identity. She uses tools such as mirrors and frosted glass to help illustrate this idea. Throughout this body of work, her hope is to include the viewer and to cause them to pause and reflect on their own personal experiences and influences. Motoa received her Bachelor’s degree in Studio: Art at Florida Atlantic University. Her most recent body of work delves deeply into fashion photography while focusing on the subtle softness of women and the unique identity they portray.
