PalmAndCactus

British born, but raised in Paradise! I landed on these shores 26 years ago. The Fortunate Isles, dotting the sea off the northwestern coast of Africa, truly deserve that title. Or maybe it's us, the inhabitants, that are the fortunate ones.

My surroundings inspire me. Each island has its own characteristics and landscapes. But I couldn't tell you if it was more the green of the banana plantations, the blue skies, the orange volcanic land, the black sands or the deep blue seas that leave me intoxicated. The variety of vegetation throughout and within the islands is astounding. From cacti, palm trees and banana plantations, to Pine and Eucalyptus trees. From a snow-capped volcano to blazing hot sands on the same day. The contrasts are endless.

Being surrounded by so much natural beauty makes you want to protect it. I try to do all I can to protect our environment and regularly clean the ocean and beaches. And what better way to use the wood that we find at sea than turn them into unique pieces of art...each with its own story. Remember...Waste isn't waste until we waste it! Thank-you for visiting my shop. Welcome and I hope you find something that you like ;)
