I was born in Preston, in the North West of England, in 1985. I have always loved and been interested in animals and it became apparent during my school years especially that doing detailed and realistic artwork comes naturally to me. I appreciate nature and understand how special the relationship is between a person and their pet.
My first foray into animal art was with pencil drawings. I liked the immediacy of pencil and began drawing seriously in 2004. In 2006 I began painting using traditional oil paints on canvas. It was around this time that I was also working as a fashion model, but I quit the modelling industry a couple of years later to allow myself to fully concentrate on my career as an artist. Over the years I refined and honed my technique, always striving to capture the detail with great accuracy.
In 2015 I emigrated to a village in the foothills of the Balkan Mountains in Bulgaria. Surrounded by stunning scenery which is teeming with wildlife, there's no shortage of inspiration for paintings here.
I am a keen supporter of animal welfare organisations and through my artwork I am able to help raise funds and awareness for worthy causes. It gives me great pleasure to be able to give something back to the animals that I paint.
