I began my creative business in 2019, creating beeswax food wraps with beautiful fabrics. I soon discovered that choosing and working with fun, colourful and unique patterns was my favourite aspect of the venture.

Then, during lockdown in 2020 I picked up my paint brush and watercolours (that I hadn't really touched since high school!) and began painting again. I created hundreds of hand - painted greeting cards that I sold at local markets and gift shops, along with my beeswax wraps. However, I soon found that my artwork was selling better than my wraps, which excited me, since I enjoyed the art far more than slaving away in a hot kitchen making endless amounts of beeswax wraps!

Once I discovered how to digitise my watercolour illustrations, I created greeting cards, Christmas cards and gift tags, which gained momentum in my local shops.

My greeting card designs quickly became pattern based, as I realised that I could use my own art to create seamless patterns, just like the fabrics that I loved when I started out. This new found love for creating seamless watercolour patterns became my obsessions, and I soon had hundreds of designs.

When I came across Spoonflower, I was delighted to find I could affordably print my designs onto fabrics, and home decor items. Not only that, but I could share my designs with others, and enable them to create their own projects with my designs. The idea of that was thrilling!

Now here on Society6 I am able to share my designs on multiple products, while giving me time to focus on creating new designs.
