Steven Suiter is a San Diego artist whose work is inspired by folklore, classic literature, and nature. His acrylic paintings combine elements of humanity with animal and supernatural characteristics to create a new narrative and mythology. His Costa Rican heritage, and difficulty in distinguishing red-green colors, inspires a pallet of bright colors and stark contrasts. Steven is the artist for Sour Cellars Brewery and has also designed for Brujos Brewing, Relentless Brewing, the annual roller derby convention Rollercon, and Kemo the Blaxican from the hip hop group Delinquent Habits. Steven holds a bachelor's degree in English from San Jose State University. He lives in San Diego with his wife, 5-year-old son, a 3-legged German Shepherd, and three rescued chickens.
