Hello, I'm Susan, a UK artist and surface pattern designer and I live in rural North Yorkshire, England.

I work digitally and in traditional media, mostly from my imagination, and I'm instinctively drawn to hot and bright colours so you'll see a lot of orange, yellows, reds and pinks, with splashes of bright green and viridian in my art. I'm making a little space for blues and purples though these days.

I love to work freehand, and when I draw or paint, I start straight with the pen or the brush. I develop the art as I create it, adjusting as I go and incorporating corrections into the work. I love the process as much as the end result. To make my patterns, I process my original handdrawn/handpainted artwork digitally, or I work digitally from start to finish.

In my store, you'll enjoy a lot of beauty, light and fun, but you'll also see some interesting, unusual designs coming up too. My favorite subjects are flowers, mostly imaginary, along with hearts, faces, and food.
