I'm attracted to anything with texture. My earliest childhood memories took place in an old house on my grandparent's farm that held my grandmother's antique collection. I can still feel my hands running across rustic objects that carried stories from the many years they've seen. I believe that textures tell our stories of delight, struggle, pain and immense joy. These are communicated in the change of landscape and the dark colors that make the highlights brighter. That's what I like to capture; reminders that every part of a story can be defining, but more importantly, they can be made beautiful.
