My name is Alan Paul Siegel. I’ve spent the majority of my life in the arts. I graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh before leaving for Los Angeles to pursue my dreams of becoming a rock star. But before I knew it, I was pulled by old friends into the movie business and designing one-sheet posters for major motion pictures. It wasn’t long before I was doing movie trailers and then into TV commercials. I found my calling there, doing award-winning spots for Mercedes, Coors Beer, and many others. My company, November Films, named for the birth month of my daughter, became synonymous with the best of Automotive Advertising and then with Coors Light Beer, after a series of commercials starring Dr. Dre. Finding the need to do something with more lasting impact, I produced a documentary called “Food Fight” about sustainable agriculture and support for Farmers Markets. And now, I’m back to doing what I do best…draw. I’m sure you notice my influences in the use of color and iconic imagery from Impressionists and Post Impressionists like Paul Cezanne and Paul Gauguin to Pop and Contemporary artists like Andy Warhol, Davis Hockney, Wayne Thiebaud, and many others.
