Alison is a keen and inquisitive self-taught wildlife artist from the UK. After an intense period of academic study, Alison craved the freedom to unleash her creativity. In 2010 she earnestly discovered her childhood love of painting.
Alison is fortunate to have an intriguing way of capturing the beauty of nature. Vivid, provocative colours adorn Alison's wildlife portraits. Using a wide and varied palette of superb artist quality watercolour paints, Alison provides pleasing portraits of birds, mammals, butterflies, moths, dragonflies, flowers and pets.
The joyful, playful translucency and intensity of watercolour paints produces fascinating butterfly wings and dynamic bird feathers. Alison's wildlife artworks are delightful, bright and sunny and a worthy talking point in any home.
Never impulsive, Alison's artwork is sensitive and calm reflecting her close attention to detail.
Sometimes, Alison may bravely experiment with inks, pastels, acrylics and oils and other subjects but usually, her love and passion prevail for watercolour and she reverts back to painting flora and fauna.
