Andy Harrison is a talented artist from Bolton; he has developed his meticulous passion for detail and his delightful use of colour since he began drawing as a child. He was inspired by the film Charge of the Light brigade with its vibrant colours and scenes depicting detailed and graphic images of man and horse on the battlefield. Andy had an obvious talent as a young boy, but he has come a long way since his days of painting Airfix models, and he now displays a superb mastery of the medium of Digital Art. He has a strong understanding of colour, form and traditional drawing techniques. He uses the Apple I-Pad and the brushes application to create wonderful works of art His love and appreciation of beauty and the female form is expressed in his many portraits of women. He has produced stunning work, and his subjects include friends, family, and celebrities. Andy has a particular talent for revealing the soul and beauty of his subjects through their eyes which seem to gaze at you bringing his art work to life. Incredibly Andy is not a trained artist and is entirely self-taught. Taking his inspiration from the world that he escaped to in his bid to shake the grey shadows of life in Bolton, he captured the elegance and beauty of his subjects. Andy is now based in Lancaster.
