I live in Canada, a lush environment full of diverse organisms. I collect the little things, leaves, stems, seeds, beetles, feathers, bones, shells, bark, stones, etc., and draw them. I find there is so much beauty in the small. How delicate these things are yet how strongly they are built, and how they withstand so much wear and tear.
My goal is to bring the little things to light and maybe teach a lesson on how we should stop and appreciate the small things. Our environment is important, and it deserves some TLC just like we do. The little things will be the first to go, so appreciate what there is before it's gone. Listen to the cicadas, collect pretty shells, start a vegetable garden, nourish the environment around you, and in turn it will nourish you.
