I grew up in Soviet-era Ukraine before moving to the United States when I was sixteen. I had long dreamed of becoming a painter, but eager to make it in a new country, I initially pursued a career in pharmacy instead. After a decade-long hiatus from art, moving to Portland in 2017 gave me the kick-in-the-butt inspiration I needed to switch careers. Now I share a studio with other female artists in NE Portland, and am much happier as a painter. Thanks for looking at my artwork
