My name is Kellyanne. For the longest time, I hated my name. Until I signed it on a painting, that is. When I was younger, I got bullied for my first name and this resulted in my hatred for my name. I decided to sign my paintings with my first name to take that power away and it worked! Now, when I hear my name, it creates good feelings, and it's about time. I hope if anyone has a word or name that has negative conotations, turn the tables on it and turn it into something positive. I guarantee that it will be freeing. I've been painting and drawing since I was 3 years old, tracing the Peanuts gang on my metal lunch box until I could draw them in my sleep. I've always wanted to be an artist, and now that my children are older, I decided it's finally time to pursue it. I guess you could say my art is a little bit of everything. An autodidact artist inspired by Renoir and Monet, I enjoy painting impressionism. Living in New England, I am surround by views of water, trees that change with the seasons and beautiful wildlife. I also love the colorfulness of fauvism and the reflections on seascapes. Reflections are my obsession. I love the way a fire hydrant reflects in a puddle on the sidewalk and a skyscraper reflects off the water surrounding a city. I see everything as a painting, always studying everything around me and turning it into a painting is the dream. I hope anyone who views my work gets a sense of peace, happiness and inspiration.
