Ashley's art has gone through many stages and evolution. From comic book illustration to classical painting and printmaking, to abstract, to animation and fan art. These styles would ebb and flow depending on her life experiences at the time.

Today she has settled on art that reflects life's unpredictability and making the most of what you face. She has learned that no matter how much you plan, situations completely out of your control will arise, and how you respond to them determines your direction and happiness.

The starting point of Ashley's work is an acrylic pour or free painting which she then reacts to and composes on. Making whatever the base of her painting, no matter the outcome, into a bright, uplifting, ethereal composition. Many times, nature and the cosmos, will be the subject matter in the works as she finds the beauty of creation truly inspiring. Nature brings a calm and happiness to Ashley that she wants to share in the work.

Bright, bold colours are very important to her as she aims to bring joy and fun to her work. Again, turning whatever the base of the painting is, into a positive and uplifting work of art.
