"Atelier" is the French word for studio/workshop - an homage to my grandparents' French Canadian heritage. "Ulpan" also means studio in Hebrew, and is the special word for immersive classes where Hebrew language and culture are taught to new immigrants.

I'm a rabbi. Before becoming a rabbi, I worked as a graphic designer. These worlds have collide, as I bring a design eye to ancient Jewish texts.
