Terrible Jess

I never really considered myself the "artist" type. I could never draw, had very little understanding of perspective and colour, but I wanted to do something. I wanted to be a creator. I think when I finally started being good at what I do is when I stopped trying to be good and accepted being "terrible". That was when I just started making things to be happy. I think that's what makes my art truly my own. It's just things that make me happy.

Everything I make is made on a whim. Much like life, it starts as one thing, and then changes wildly into a completely different direction. I think that's what makes me different from other artists. For me, art just happens. There are just a thousand ideas trying to get out at the same time. Some of them blend together. I think that's beautiful.
