Jaya was raised in the highlands of Scotland and currently lives on the coast of Aotearoa (New Zealand). Jaya was painting from a young age but his creative teeth were cut in London graphic designing in the entertainment industry working on campaigns for the likes of Trainspotting, Reservoir Dogs and Twelve Monkeys. He took his design skills and applied them to his art which is often colourful, challenging and complex in nature.
