Beckie Renée is a self-taught fine artist who grew up in a small New England town and moved to the warmer Southeastern United States as a young adult, where she currently resides with her husband. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies, an Associate of Science in Computer Programming, and an Associate of Arts degree. From a young age, Beckie Renée enjoyed being a creative but pursued a full-time corporate career and worked during this time to refine her art skills. She began creating fine art in traditional mediums in 1992. Her wide-ranging style evolved through the years from illustrative to realism to abstracts, and included seascapes, florals and wildlife. Today, she classifies her style as contemporary abstract with a primary focus on creating medium to large scale abstracts in acrylics on canvas using brushes and palette knives. She also enjoys creating impressionistic designs in watercolors on cold and rough pressed papers. Layered colors and textures are two themes that you will see in her evolving body of work. When asked why she enjoys creating abstract art, she says, "I've spent a lifetime in a rigid, corporate profession that has required intensive attention to rules, detail and deadlines. I want my art to reflect my lighter side with a free-flowing, expressive and colorful spirit my collectors will find relaxing and enjoyable." All of Beckie Renée's artworks are original designs.
