ArtistMD is a retired educator based in Maryland (U.S.). She has painted off and on all her life, but more regularly in her retirement. ArtistMD is as inspired by everyday scenes from her home and neighborhood as she is by sights and sounds from her travels -- Provence to Capetown, Amsterdam to Havana. In all of her paintings, ArtistMD attempts to capture the essence of a scene or subject through authentic color and value. A favorite setting for her landscape paintings is central Vermont. ArtistMD paints primarily in acrylics, oils, or both. She hopes that you enjoy her work!
