I was born into colonial Africa in a country at war. 19 years ago I emigrated to New Zealand. I thought it would be easy moving from one British Colony to the other, but in fact it has been traumatic trying to settle down and fit in. My photography is an exploration of New Zealand's beautiful scenery and her people's way of being in the world. As I explore these places and peoples around me, I become increasingly aware that wherever we are and whoever we are with, we all need to belong
