As a photographer, I’m drawn to subject matters that are offbeat and unusual. One summer, while antiquing in California, I was captivated by the many mannequin heads throughout the shops. I was also intrigued by the other vintage items on display. Antiques arouse memories and emotions as they offer a glimpse into the past.
With my camera in hand, I began my odyssey, traveling across the southwest to capture the beauty of these vintage treasures. I always reflect upon the fact that at one time these pieces were loved and appreciated. If they could only speak, what stories would they share? My desire is to honor and preserve these antiques as they were at one time brilliant inventions and played significant roles in our lives.
Before establishing my photography company, Isadora Images, I pursued careers in fashion design and music. During that time in my life, she enjoyed documenting my experiences through photography. After graduating with a Masters in Fine Arts in Creative Writing at California College of the Arts, I started working as a freelance photojournalist.
