I am a native New Yorker who lived in Manhattan most of my life. I started off with a 20 year career in the film industry as a cinematographer. I craved doing something of my own and lapsed back into photography which was my roots. I began shooting in Central Park winter 2010 which was a block from where I grew up. Soon after I began shooting in the park I found myself drawn to the musicians that busk all over the park. This became my obsession. Hundreds of pictures became thousands. I became friends with many of the musicians and shared my work with them. I went from traditional to abstract photos. Then this evolved into mixed media representation. Central Park laid the ground work for my art and it keeps on giving with every piece I make. Four years ago I moved to Peekskill, NY. So the city boy was going to the country. The main reason for this was I found a space to form my gallery and live in. It is a 3000sq loft mostly open. Now it is The Fluid Motion Gallery. I took my website and made something physical out of it. I am at the point where having a show is in order and I was preparing for one until Covid-19 happened. It is something I want to do but just have to take some more planning. On my website www.fluidmotiongallery.com you can see pictures of my studio.
