I've always wanted to design my own t-shirt/ clothing brand. I have struggled for quite some time now, trying to figure out what it is I wanted to create. I needed to have a personal connection to it and I really wanted everyone to be able to relate to it. Finally, after 4 years of moving out here to SoCal I was able to find my inspiration from the people, the culture, and just my overall surroundings. The end result, "Certified Stereotypes".
Stereotype, to most, comes off as a negative word. Being an Asian American, I have had many stereotypes placed on me. It's just a natural thing to assume that someone is like this or that based on their nationality, gender, and sexual orientation. So, I wanted to take a negative and turn it into something positive.
Stereotypes will always be there. Just remember you are who you build yourself up to be. DEFINE YOURSELF.
Much Love, Brim
