I have always wanted to be a photographer. And, that journey started with my first camera when I was 8. The world was completely captivating through the lens and it still is to this day. It took some time to have the courage to follow that dream and once I did, it's been a whirlwind. I've done weddings, studio, events, nightclubs and ultimately began working with celebrities and covering concerts, award shows, red carpets and many unbelievable events. I have been honored to be a contributor/freelance stringer with Getty Images and Wire Image for 10 of the 20 years I have been following the path of the dreams of my youth. Fantastic and wonderful experiences have been around each and every corner, though my heart, my thoughts, have always been in the art and beauty of the regular, the common, the discarded, discounted and unremarkable. In my career, it has been my goal to tell a story in each image. Whatever I am covering, I want the viewer to feel as though they were there. Sometimes, that isn't dynamic, sometimes that takes reflection. In today's, world of instant gratification and constant bombardment of information and imagery many extraordinary moments, marvelous things, incredible visions, get overlooked. In our quest to be wowed with every blink of our eyes, we trade many wondrous, magical things for thoughtless indulgence, while we crave for fulfillment.
I have been vigorously true to the fundamental of remaining in the same awe and curious admiration which inspired in me the passion to see the grace and elegance of the neglected and sharing their stories. I search for the unnoticed and less than obvious. Concentrating solely on this can be risky. So the obvious story must be told. While money often validates, vindicates and legitimizes, my thought and intention in creating an art profile is, enjoyment. I hope each of you views my site with the thoughtfulness and purposefulness with which the images were created. In my everyday life, I have often shared a conversation with a stranger over a cup of coffee, accidentally. Some of those conversations have turned into dear friends. Thank you for stopping by and never hesitate to comment or reach out.
