Language and symbols fascinate Tampa Bay-based Susana Darwin, who creates 2D art digitally with Procreate. A love of flags inspired her irreverent award-winning short film “Flag Act,” and appreciation for Mark Rothko’s work drove a series of flag renderings. The randomness and absurdity of the terms for groups inspired her fanciful “ColleQtive Nouns.”
