Caitlyn Antaloczy puts a lot of emphasis into colour and light within her work. She enjoys the way colour can enable you to express the way you feel. Gorgeous vibrant colours are one of the key driving forces in what will draw her to paint a subject. Her works are all inspired from everyday life. She feels that colour and light can be used to make ordinary things we come across, something extraordinary. She strives to have her work expose the true beauty of the subject and an emotional reality that she feels in a harmonious way. Artist Statement: I have been enthralled by watercolours from the first time I tried them. The purpose of my work is to expose the beauty of my subject, while also expressing my emotional reality. I like to think of my work as a window into my world. My work shows not only what I see but also how I connect with my subject. In my opinion a great work of art is not only to please the eyes but should also engage the soul.
