I’m based near Falmouth, Cornwall, in a disused granite quarry. The land around me has been reclaimed by nature since it was last a working quarry, the large lumps of granite waste being covered in goat willow, gorse, and brambles... buzzards and a pair of ravens circle overhead, weasels bound across the paths, and the air is full of the sounds of birds and bees... and of industry, of a different and quieter variety to that of it's past. Because of this, and other surrounding factors, I create mostly twee pieces using collage, gouache/watercolour, and pencil.
