A born explorer, Carissa grew up traveling the US with her family every summer. From a young age, she fell in love with the striking grandeur of the Western US. She always enjoyed photographing the landscapes she saw, using the disposable cameras that her parents bought her.

Her career in photography began in 2012 when she moved out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a year. Ever since then, Carissa has been passionate about capturing the beautiful light and striking geometry of the natural world.
