Carl Rittenhouse

For me, photography represents a visual challenge in revealing the underlying order that can be found within the natural and manmade world. The goal is to use the techniques of composition and photography to abstract the elements, to see an image that expresses the qualities of the scene or objects and my interpretation of them.

The image is created using the classic elements of design: line, shape, colour, texture, tone, form, space, depth; using or not using the rules of composition; the abilities of a camera and digital processing.

All of the images were created by myself.
