I find myself constantly working on creating new and experimental ways for myself to develop art. Exploration has played a huge part in my work thus far. I enjoy trying out new and different techniques and because of this, I have not found myself relying on any one material or method of creating my work. I enjoy the fluidity of being able to work in both 3-D and 2-D elements. Part of my process begins with quick sketches that I then return back to and further develop that sketch into a piece. I find myself toying with the same idea of automatism and the unconscious mind as surrealists do. The sketches usually stem from me laying down an initial mark and then consciously reacting to each mark after that. These sketches can transform into many different works, sometimes the idea changes through my process and sometimes it stays completely the same. I have recently found myself using medical, and child-like scientific imagery. I strive for my art to be both ambiguous and bodily which stems from my appeal to organic and amorphous shapes.
