Claire Hanley often uses the word “illustrative” when describing her paintings, because for her, they embody a sense of storytelling. She believes this was born out of her early love of writing as a child. With degrees in advertising and graphic design, she is fixated on the relationships of colors and shapes. She has lived in Los Angeles and Nashville, where she also finds herself drawing inspiration from. Hanley has sold and shown her work internationally in galleries and art shows.
