Hello! My name is Claire Carroll and I am the founder of Cottage Art and Design. I am a watercolour artist and surface pattern designer specialising in an English countryside aesthetic. I love to explore the natural world through my paintbrush with a focus on native animals and flowers. When I am not in my studio, you'll find me in my cottage garden or roaming the countryside with my little canine shadow, Lara, by my side collecting natural treasures to take back, draw and paint. I love nothing more than to turn my etchings into a pattern or design that can be applied to items to adorn the homes of fellow countryside lovers who share my fondness of subtle and earthy pastel palettes.

What could I not live without? Apart from family, my animals, my friends and my art (I'm obliged to say those things), I could not go a day without a cup of Rooibos tea and a rich tea biscuit.

Surprising fact: I am allergic to chocolate. I know, it's hell!
