I find inspiration in nature and see art and science as one.

I once aspired to have a career in art restoration, to preserve the works of artists like Da Vinci who put pencil to paper hundreds of years ago to carve a landscape out of blank canvas. I would say my passion has stayed the same but the medium is different – I now work in the conservation of global forest landscapes, formed from a blanket of soil long before Da Vinci through Earth’s freehand. I curate satellite imagery and run analyses that give me the title of researcher, but also the feeling of a fellow creator attempting to catch a portrait of the artist.
