cameron ringness

Cameron Ringness is an artist, architect and organizer originally from Cleveland, Ohio, living and working with her dog Goose in Queens, New York.   She is a prison abolitionist and an advocate for the homeless.  She has taught visual art at the Women's Prison Association.  She was the lead designer of the new Statue of Liberty Museum on Liberty Island with FXCollaborative Architects and is currently the lead designer for the New Children's Museum of Manhattan to be completed in 2025.  Her paintings and drawings capture everyday life, celebrating the ordinary, and her immediate community. She creates intimate portraits on grand scales of folks who are marginalized by society, and detailed whimsical drawings of friends and family's interior worlds.
