Connie Lee Lynch

Designer. Teacher. Maker.

I’ve been crafting since I was a little girl, but through high school, college, and an Army deployment, I found little time for my creative needs and in my early 20s I realized that I needed to bring art back into my life.

Enter crochet.

Designing and teaching have become my passions, and I am absolutely delighted to share this collection of Impressions with you!

Each crochet design is created by adding paint or other media to one side of handmade crochet fabric and then stamping it onto watercolor paper, canvas, or similar surface. Some designs are based on my original crochet patterns and others are traditional patterns (like the granny square) or stitches. All are hand stitched by me with 100% mercerized Egyptian Giza bedspread weight cotton thread and a 2.25mm crochet hook.

Some of my paintings are also created using impressions from floral and other organic materials with acrylic paint and a limited palette. Botanical Impressions will take you on a tour through the seasons in different locales, occasionally punctuated with Scenic Impressions.

Other paintings are abstract or floral interpretations of moments of joy discovered in daily life.

Join me on a creative journey exploring the world through the every day beauty that surrounds us as expressed through abstract impressions, inspiration, and interpretations in fiber!
