Hi there! Thanks for being curious about me. I grew up on the misty beaches of Southwest Washington, and have returned to my family's stomping grounds in Portland, Oregon.
I was formerly a graphic designer, am currently a high school, art teacher, and I've always been an artist. As a graphic designer, I got tired of creating work that felt the same, over and over. I found myself training adults, and moved into a position as a high school art teacher. I teach lots of subjects: drawing, painting, basic art, ceramics, digital photography, graphic design, and 3d animation. I've done almost everything my high school has to offer. It's lots of fun, and excitement, as you may imagine. One of the downsides to being a high school art instructor, though... I found I was spending all my time improving students' skills, and no time working on my own art. This project and shop is a way for me to reconnect myself to my own art. Please enjoy.
You can purchase my originals via Etsy. Each of my original images are made individually. I use watercolor to create the image, and acrylic media to seal the paintings. Some of my paintings are simply sealed and framed, others I have mounted on cradled panels from American Easel (a fantastic local place, here in Oregon). I would be happy to answer any questions you might have. Please feel free to email.
