As a SCAD graduate, Architect in training and designer, I explore communicative art techniques in order to articulate the meaning of place. In my work I utilize charcoal, newspaper, acrylic and media to express nostalgic experiences on a canvas. Many of these experiences are cultivated by growing up in Puerto Rico, traveling, Studying in a Historic Town and abroad in Lacoste, France.
The past years living away from home have evoked a glimpse into my travels portrayed through my various styles of artwork and design.
Today I celebrate the decay of abandoned placed; rust, peeling wallpaper, alleys, layers of landscapes affected by natural disasters or simply taken for granted by a fast-paced lifestyle.
