At the age of six, when my grandparents returned from a trip to Arizona, they presented me with the gift of a lovely coloring book. It was a little advanced for my age, but with the encouragement of my mother, I filled the pages with color.
I realize now, it was then that something beautiful and rewarding had taken root within me. Eventually, this evolved and grew into a wonderful family tradition...the sharing in and appreciation of art. This, in turn, lead me to various art competitions, and by the age of fifteen, I was editor of my own online magazine.
Throughout the years, my interest in art has grown into a passion that is as fulfilling as it is inspiring. I've experienced unique self-expression through various mediums. However, I feel my ideas and interests are best conveyed using pencils, acrylics and printmaking techniques, with a focus on nature, wildlife and the environment...realistically and in the abstract.
It is with the hope of fostering a love for our planet and all of its inhabitants, that I create each piece of art. "Save Our Bees" pieces were done specifically to help support and protect our honeybees! A donation of 50% of the profits made from the sale of 'bee' art will be made to Earthjustice!
