I love being outside. It is a defining part of my personality, and as such, impacts my paintings tremendously. The majority of my work is of places I’ve been and photos I’ve taken while on adventures. Most often, I paint with acrylics; however, I love to occasionally work in watercolours, or a mix between the two.
Having grown up in the West Kootenays, mountains have always been very close to my heart; and with a handful of different mountain towns in between, I have fallen in love with my life here in Squamish - a very beautiful area, surrounded by a variety of incredible peaks. During the winters, I typically travel abroad, or to the Rockies in search of hiking and climbing opportunities. While in the summer, I work as a hiking guide throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor. My motivations for guiding and for art are the same; to show people places special to me, to show them the beauty in the previously mundane, with the goal of inspiring preservation.
