American painter David Onica was born on 25th of February 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida.

Occasionally he works as a graphic designer for record labels and as fashion photographer for various magazines.

He is known to experiment with serigraphy (silk-screening) and had his greatest career highlights in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

David Onica's work has been described as 'deliberately superficial' and often resembles surrealism and pop art.

Since 1995 he is based in Basel, Switzerland.
