Hi there! I’m a Cape Town based illustrator with a background in design and an obsession with drawing. I work with clients of all shapes and sizes, handling editorial, advertising and animation art commissions.

I grew up in South Africa and after saving up and studying, worked in publishing for a decade and now am into my 3rd (!) year as a freelance illustrator/Graphic Designer. I enjoy what I do for a living and, regardless of how tough it can get, the opportunity to do it is something I never take for granted and I would like to think this notion is reflected my work.

My work is an influence of pop culture, satire, movie posters and traditional illustration/oil-painting. My love for painting is pretty influential in my works and yes I do like to have a “humor first” approach to all my personal works. My challenge has always been to produce work that marries humor with storytelling, art, life and colour (where necessary).

But while my personal work is very humor based, I do also find a certain freedom in the serious commissions that come my way. These are the times I get to sit back and just create, without worrying about anything other than the sheer joy of making something that looks great.
