Best described as a a tangent jumping, pun making, endlessly curious curmudgeon specializing in people, concepts & portraits. Since scrawling my first yellow ducks as a child, my style has evolved into a collection of influences haphazardly piled into a visual stew, pulling ideas & forms from Bugs Bunny cartoons, Cubism, 60s illustration & design, classical ink renderings with occasional overtones of of chaotic infuriation.
Upon graduating from the Illustration program at Sheridan College’s School of Art and Design in 2001, I’ve lived & worked in Toronto, Montreal, Amsterdam, The Cayman Islands & few other spots — living the strange & amusing life of a freelancer & would have it no other way.
Over the past decade (gulp) I’ve had the pleasure of working with some of the largest publications around & awarded both nationally & abroad. In addition to illustration, I work as a senior designer/art director in publication design, with my graphic design work extending to identity, advertisements and the web.
Currently in Toronto, I have been teaching at OCAD University (Ontario College of Art & Design) & Sheridan College to see if he can make the world a better place & have a chance to swear more in public.
Lest you believe I can only draw & design, I’m also an avid cyclist, reader, science nerd, political junky, internet hound, urban thinker, traveller, cheese eater & have been known to enjoy a micro-brew when the mood strikes.
If you’d like to keep in touch, toss me a line or check out one of my semi-successful attempts at using social media.
Thanks & hopefully you like what you see… Tootles!
