Hi! My name is Sebastian Echeverry, and I'm a young journalist working at a local newspaper in Long Beach, CA., called the Signal Tribune.

I love photography. Being a photojournalist has allowed me to capture harrowing moments such as social-justice rallies, police barricades and firefighters battling roaring flames. Those moments have humbled me– to tell stories from within the heart of the community I currently serve.

However, from time-to-time, I take photos for my own pleasure. Images that, I believe, are aesthetically pleasing. I hope to share those moments with you.

Before I capture a photograph, the subjects in the photograph begin to slow down. Time stops, and the moment is presented– ripe for picking.
