"When I start to create a new work with my brushes and oils I begin to imagine a lot like magic dreams with open eyes. It is something exquisite for my soul and creativity, and for me fantastic how the mixture of bright colors makes it part of my imagination. I always look beyond the horizon of the creativity of my thoughts when my head begins to create shapes with nature, animals and floating objects. But my imagination goes even further. It is what makes me original when I am creating. "
Eddy Mena, currently living in Denver Colorado, was born in Aguadulce, Panama in 1984, and grew up in the colonial city of Granada, Nicaragua. Eddy's Daliesque landscapes show a figurative surreal style, using different mixed techniques; acrylic and oil on canvas, textures, contrasts and composition techniques. He finds his inspiration in floating movements of objects, animals, nature and bright colors. In most of his works he represents the essence of the women, nature and places where he has lived. This young artist's work is a Latin fusion of painting techniques and his skill as a graphic designer and artist.
