Kayla Ek is an American artist, graphic designer and curator based in Connecticut - New York & Florida. Her paintings, illustrations and sculptures often depict emotive surreal portraits that symbolize her deep love for music illuminations, psychology, philosophy and saturated colors.

Currently, at the age of 21 Kayla's day to day life is of a young entrepreneur - Full time graphic designer by day, artist, curator & model by night. Kayla's Latest project's involve Directing the 2016 Annual New Milford Art Walk and being honored with the title of being a "RAW" featured Artist and was featured in RAW'S "MOTIF" Showcase in Brooklyn NY. (Kayla is also expected to make an appearance in RAW orlando in 2017)

Though Kayla has already achieved a degree in graphics technology from Henry Abbott Technical School But, Kayla Continues to strive for success as she is currently attending Western Connecticut State University for a degree in fine arts, and has won many awards due to her excellence in the Arts - such as the 2014 Connecticut Association of Schools Outstanding Arts Award, The 2014 Walter Kopsick Memorial Award, & the 2014 Energy PRZ Award .

In 2015 Ms. Ek began a wave of artistic freedom and comfort using her imagination. Exploring lyrical illuminations of recent R&B music and visual interpretations of conversations she has had with her peers -Featuring drips and bubbles her unique portraits show her love for things that leave a strange and ominous impression. Kayla has also worked hands on with Comedy Central Comedian, Dave Reily, Regional Curator, Lacee Yurtoglu, Bolt Printing CEO Lana Corsano, Head Designer Sully Orellana, Photographer Morgen Purcell, and International Curator Analise Nelson.
